The Embassy of the United States of America will conduct an Open Auction sale of used Furniture, Appliances, IT Equipment, Generators etc., as follows:

• Venue: Plot 1129, Durumi District, Abuja (Behind the American International School).
• Registration and Lots Viewing Days: Monday and Tuesday, September 15 – 16, 2025.
• Date of Sales & Payment: Wednesday & Thursday, September, 17 – 18, 2025.

Time: 9am – 3pm daily.

• Pick Up Date: Saturday, September 20, 2025. Time: 8:00am – 4:00pm.

General Payment Terms

• Payments shall be made immediately after winning the bid or the item will be re-bid.
• Payments can be only through the following:
• Interbank transfers (Citibank – Account Number will be provided to winners of bids at the auction). Payment confirmation will be confirmed by the Embassy cashier on site before bills of Sales.

Customers Note

1. The Embassy cashier will be available with the Embassy Bank details and will confirm transfers before bill of sales are issued.
2. All items are sold “as is” with no declaration made of serviceability. There will be “no returns” and “no refunds” made after the sales.
3. A 40% down payment may be made on capitalized/high value items like generators and vehicles. The 60% balance payment must be made within 3 working days after winning the bid or initial deposit may be forfeited.
4. Nigerian Customs Authority will charge customs duties for duty bound items. Buyers shall bear full responsibility for payment of custom duty. No item shall be released to the buyer without proof of custom duty payment.
5. Auction guidelines and procedures will be handed out on the sales days, Wednesday & Thursday, September 17 – 18, 2025.
6. Items purchased are expected to be removed from the Embassy Warehouse compound on Saturday, September 20, 2025. Time: 8am – 4pm.

7. There will be a registration exercise for all intending buyers and viewers on Monday and Tuesday September 15 to 16, 2025 from 09:00am – 3:00pm. Buyers and Viewers are expected to register using an identity card or a recognized means of identification, as only preregistered buyers will be allowed into the compound the next day to View, and on the auction day.
