The Embassy of the United States of America will conduct an open Auction sale of used Furniture, Appliances, Vehicles, Empty Containers etc., as follows:
Venue: Plot 1129, Durumi District, Abuja (Behind the American International School).
Tuesday, 02 April 2024: Registration
Wednesday, 03 April 2024: Registrations and Inspection/Viewing Day
Thursday, 04 April 2024: Inspection/Viewing Day
FRIDAY, 05 APRIL 2024: AUCTION SALES DAY
Time: From 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day.
Saturday, 06 April 2024: Property removal Day.
Time: From 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday.
General Payment Terms
• Payments shall be made immediately a er winning the bid or the item will be re-bid.
• Payments can be made in any of the following ways:
Cash, POS, Interbank transfers.
Customers Note
1. The Embassy cashier will be available for cash and interbank-transfer payments.
2. All items are sold “as is” with no declaration made of serviceability. There will be “no returns” and “no refunds” made after the sales.
3. A 40% down payment will be made on capitalized/high value items like Generators and Vehicles. The 60% balance payment must be made within 3 working days after winning the bid.
4. Nigerian Customs Authority will be available at the auction venue and will announce the charges of customs duties for duty bound items. Buyers shall bear full responsibility for payment of custom duty. No item shall be released to the buyer without proof of custom duty payment.
5. Auction guidelines and procedures will be handed out on the sales day, Friday, 05 April 2024.
6. Items purchased are expected to be removed from the Embassy compound on Saturday, 06 April 2024 from 0800 – 1600, after all necessary payments are concluded and confirmed.

7. There will be a registration exercise for all intending buyers and viewers starting Tuesday, 02 April 2024 at 09.00am, buyers and Viewers are expected to register using an identity card or a means of identification; only registered buyers on a previous day will be allowed into the compound the next day to View and on the auction day.

TERMS AND CONDITION OF THE SALE ! ICRC AUCTION SALES

Tuesday 19th March, 2024: Registration and Inspection/Viewing Day by 10:00am.

Wednesday 20th March, 2024: AUCTION SALE DAY. Time: 10:00am.

Thursday 21st March, 2024: Property Removal Day.       Time: 10:00am.

 

NOTE: Interested bidder shall pay a DEPOSIT/REGISTRATION FEE of Five Hundred Thousand Naira only (₦500,000.00) on Tuesday 19th March, 2024 to the designated account of the Auctioneer. This fee is intended to ensure that auction advertisements only attract serious buyers. If a bidder fails to win any lot, the money will be refund, but shall be forfeited by any winner who fails to make payment of the bid win. KINDLY NOTE THAT PAYMENT ELAPSE ON INSPECTION DAY, WHILE REFUNDMENT PROCESS IS WITHIN 48HRS AFTER THE AUCTION!

Venue: Vehicle Parking space Opposite The Velodrome MKO National Stadium, Abuja.

  • All items are sold “as is” and “where is” with no warrantee expressed or implied. All sales are final and no refund or returns will be allowed.
  • Any bid not up to reserve price will be withhold by the seller i.e ICRC would not sell below its reserve price.
  • Buyers are required to PAY IN FULL the amount bid immediately after winning. NO DOWN PAYMENT!
  • In the event a winning bidder fails to promptly pay for an item, it may be re-auctioned immediately. And the initial bidder shall be asked to leave the auction ground.
  • NOTE: THE ONLY MEANS OF PAYMENT ACCEPTED IS BANK TRANSFER.
  • From the date of the sale, the buyer will be granted a maximum of 30 days to retrieve the newly acquired property, which will only be released provided proof of custom duties payment are presented. Failure to comply with this requirement would void the sale.
  • All ICRC ASSETS are “custom bonded” no assets will be released to the buyers without proof of custom duties payment.

Diplomatic bidders are exempt from custom duties but will be required to present a valid Diplomatic ID from the MFA. All other bidders must pay Nigerian custom duties in addition to the winning bid amount. The Representatives of the Nigerian customs at the auction ground will announce the custom duty, which can be viewed online at https://customs.gov.ng
